About 3 Outdoor Tennis Courts

ZSK has won the tender held on 17.07.2014 by the T.R. Sarıyer Municipality / Property and Expropriation Directorate for the 10 year use of “708.71m² Enclosed Facility Area bordering parcels 1488 and 1489, 21m2 Container Administrative Court management Building, 80.71m² Social Facility and 3 Outdoor Tennis Courts”.

Dear Members and Friends,

I am writing to your today to share our great joy…

We have succeeded!..

We have finally overcome the major crisis that has been the nightmare of the Zekeriyaköy Sports Club and constantly stood in the way of the clubs progress. Now we are proud and pleased to announce that we have kept the biggest promise we made to the residents of Zekeriyaköy.

The land that we are on now belongs to our club for the next 10 years…. 

Since October of 2013 we have been practicing diplomacy with representatives at every level in the Sarıyer Municipality… Our board of directors has worked to cover all possible scenarios… One of our main priorities is to always work according to law and this is why we faced some challenges but we never compromised. This made us an even more reputable establishment in the face of public institutions as a more creditable NGO.

We faced a variety of challenges and even obstructions that are difficult to describe here. We, along with my colleagues worked long hours to overcome these.

Eventually, on 17.07.2014, the Zekeriyaköy Sports Club won the T.R. Sarıyer Municipality / Property and Expropriation Directorate tender for the 10 year use of 708.71m² Enclosed Facility Area bordering parcels 1488 and 1489, 21m2 Container Administrative Court management Building, 80.71m² Social Facility and 3 Outdoor Tennis Courts.

What this means is that the Zekeriyaköy Sports Club will be at this location for another 10 years and probably beyond and will continue to strengthen its existence.

Upon the commencement of this victory we hope and plan to bring to life the SOCIAL FACILITY project we had worked on in the past and want to complete.

We have worked with great enthusiasm and ambition and overcome the difficult stage!

There are exciting days ahead of us…

We will need your material and emotional support to develop the ZSK facilities that will add great value to Zekeriyaköy and its surroundings. We need more resources to do more and do better: these resources are not just financial but we always welcome friends who can contribute any suggestions.

We know the limits of our resources and we intend to prioritize our projects within this financial discipline. In this context we are planning to restart membership acceptance which we had ceased since October 2013.

Our greatest priority is to make the Zekeriyaköy Sports Club one of the prestigious sports clubs of Istanbul and make it active in the sports and social lives of all of us including children and young people.

I am grateful to all my friends, including our Sports Operations, who kept their hopes up even during the most challenging times in this process and generously provided their support; I believe we have done some important work that will add value to our Zekeriyaköy.

In the meantime I believe that you will also give us your support while utilizing our services and continue your material-emotional support and thank all our friends who set out on this journey with us.
